With the discovery of the new continent, the first exchange of genetic material in the form of food took place during the Middle Ages, and ecosystems and biodiversity have changed globally. Due to climate change today, but also due to genetic modification of organisms, world agro-biodiversity is significantly declining.
The consequences of climate change are no longer just scenarios for the future. Important ecosystems, soil, shores and human lives are being lost before our eyes. Sunken islands, beaches and submerged homes are just some of the consequences that the Western Balkan countries will face in the coming decades.
