We travel through some of the protected areas in Macedonia, Serbia and Croatia trying to understand what we can learn from each other when it comes to their management. Papuk, Zasavica, Karaslari, Tikvesh, Dojran and Smolare waterfalls are just some of the hotspots of biodiversity in the Balkans – the emerald of the European natural heritage.
